Wellness spas

“Wellness spas” holiday in South Tyrol means “holidays in Merano” very often, as this city is the South Tyrolean wellness city par excellence. It’s characterized by a mild climate all year round and an ancient tradition of wellness, which started in the XIX century. Actually Merano was launched by Empress Sissi herself as a wellness spas resort, where noblemen and noblewomen from all over Europe met. The Merano thermal baths were re-opened in 2005 and are very successful; they offer balneotherapy, inhalation, mud baths, massages and irrigations. The Merano thermal baths also offer Alpine wellness treatments based on honey, milk, hay...even wood and wool, suitable for guests suffering of locomotor apparatus troubles!
